Lisa: Adventure in Western Australia

My boyfriend and I love Australia, we have practically done the whole tour. The only place we were missing was the northwest coast. We were eager to do this trip because according to many Australians, this is the most beautiful area of Australia. These regions have magnificent national parks and that's really what we wanted to see. In addition, we know that in these regions the Aboriginal culture is very present, and it was very enriching to learn more about the history of Australia.

From the moment we set off from Darwin, heading all the way to Perth, we knew we were in for something extraordinary.

Our most memorable experience from the trip is definitely our snorkeling adventure at Turquoise Bay. The beach itself is breathtaking, with pristine white sands and clear water. We saw so many colourful fish graceful rays, and even a few reef sharks! It was an underwater spectacle unlike any we’ve experienced before. It was one of the best snorkeling trips of our lives!

We love being able to observe in a natural way the animals so emblematic of Australia like kangaroos, wallabies, koalas. We also love diving and snorkeling, and in Australia many places are superbly well preserved so it was great to observe the marine fauna.

Meeting extraordinary animals in the wild is surely the memory we will remember the most from our road trip. These encounters felt like gifts from the wild, reminding us of the incredible biodiversity that makes Australia so special.

This adventure reinforced our love for Australia and reminded us why it’s such an incredible place to visit. From the diverse fauna and flora to the cultural richness and unparalleled natural beauty, it’s a country that never ceases to amaze. We set out to explore the northwest coast, and we found a deeper connection to the land, the people, and ourselves.
